THE INVASIAN: Bloody Muscle Body Builder In Hell (1995)

I was very lucky to get to talk to my pal Bo Ransdell over at The Dark Parade podcast about the wacko and wildly entertaining freakfest known as Bloody Muscle Body Builder in Hell. It was great getting a chance to return to Asian horror after such a long time with Bo. Over years, he and I have discussed all of the Tomie films and almost all of the Whispering Corridors films. But this is an entirely different creature of a film. Check it out:

Well, it had to happen sometime. I could only neglect this blog for so many years before the guilt of ye good olde days would finally get me to start making actual content for this place. And what better way to force content out of this clunky bro than with an actual blog-a-thon? And which obsession of mine is strong enough to actually get me to make a whole bunch of posts? Asian cinema! Since this is my fourth Invasian series so therefore and thus, INV4SIAN is born!

This has been a pretty tough year for my wife and I, and I needed something to make me feel -as corny as it sounds- alive again. A change in perspective or just a renewal of what I love about movies is just what I need. Or both! As you already know, Asian cinema is so vast and so amazing that it's almost too much to comprehend. So, let me take another stab at covering all of it. Okay, perhaps not all of it. How about like 21 or 22 blog posts? Good? Awesome! See you tomorrow and the next day and the next day...

Hello! This is the Doomed Show - The Chill Factor (1993)

Sometime near the end of 2022, I decided that I desperately needed a break from podcasting. Hello! This is the Doomed Show has been going strong since 2011 and I started getting an urge to quit, which was just crazy. Every aspect of the show except for getting to talk to my buds about movies was getting on my nerves. Making the artwork, promoting the show, scheduling the recordings, and especially editing was making me want to give it all up. Instead of pulling the plug, I just decided to take a freakin' break. I just knew that a year off would do the trick. So, during 2023, the show went quiet and I worked on Giallo Meltdown 2 and my music channel. But that was last year! And this is this year!
