  1. Good luck with your books, Richard! They sure sound interesting. I hope you and Brad keep on doing the podcast, they've been a lot of fun in 2011. As for ideas: Perhaps a little Giallo 101 blog about your favorite titles/directors and other essential stuff one should be aware of?

  2. @MLP - Thanks, my friend! Don't worry, the podcast goes on. In fact, there will be a new episode this week. And heck yeah, I can come up with some essential giallo business for you. Thanks for the idea.

  4. @Justin - I don't know where you can buy my book! If you find out, let me know. And it would be an honor to have you over for a moviethon, duder. Make sure you pick up Brad on your way down. He's never been here either!

  6. Great news, Richard! Though I will be remiss to see your absence in the blogging world, I expect the Giallo Meltdown tome to shape up into quite an accomplishment with your passion fueling it. I think that the "one man against an army of movies you never heard of" concept is one that readers, particularly genre fans, will greedily sink their teeth into.

As far as ideas, one that I totally stole from the book "Horror! 333 Films To Scare You To Death", maybe you can include little mini-sections (1-2 pages) covering personalities who frequently worked in giallos and tropes that commonly pop up in the films. For instance, a section on Sergio Martino and another one about cross-dressing killers. Know what I mean, dawg?

Best of luck to you, intrepid adventurer, and I'm looking forward to seeing you kick some literary ass!

P.S. Was the intro a play on the Tales from the Darkside theme? That would be extremely hard core!

  7. I'm glad you are focusing on gialli because your love of the genre totally comes through in your writing. I always think about your moviethons when I'm in a giallo mood, and I have used them to pick new ones to watch. I would most DEFINITELY buy a giallo book, especially since most of the ones that are out there are now out of print and ridiculously expensive. So yeah, get to work for my amusement! ;)

  8. @Jose - There will definitely be sections of the book that focus on actresses, actors, directors, and even composers that made the genre great. As for the intro, my influences are showing! It was an accidental play on the Tales From the Darkside intro, a show which I loved as a kid.

@Ryan - Oh yes, I will amuse you! Prepare!
