A couple of months ago, I got back on that yellow horse once again to watch 14 gialli in 2 days or roughly 38 hours. I decided to call it Giallo Meltdown 5: Black Glove Outlet Mall. The hardest thing about these moviethons is not blabbing about them until they are done. Somehow I was able to resist spilling the beans so please,
check it out and let me know what you think, you crazy kids. And it hasn't happened yet but there may be another surprise coming soon. Stay tuned.
Not only did you keep this one a secret, but you actually had a movie I'd never heard of...
ReplyDeleteJust the kick in the pants I needed to read before getting back to my own little giallo...
@Justin - I will not kiss you in the pants- Oh wait. Never mind.
ReplyDeleteAnd now I have a new playlist for Spring Break.
ReplyDeleteAwesome work, as always.
The only one on the list I have seen is Blood Link, a damn weird movie. Michael Moriarty looked like a giant baby. And the only other one I have even heard of is Don't Torture a Duckling. Thanks for the edumacation!
ReplyDeleteYou are the master of the giallo. Love your write ups for these marathons. Great reading!
ReplyDeleteAnother terrific 'Meltdown'!
ReplyDeleteOddly, the ONLY reason I kept watching the dire 'French Sex Murders' (beyond Rosalba Neri) was because of Robert Sacchi. The whole Bogart schtick is just so completely bizarre, especially when he's facing off against Howard Vernon.
And a belated thank you, Richard: the 'Giallo Soundtracks' compilations you've made available have been my most treasured iPod tracks for well over a year. Nothing like driving on a rainy night to the theme from 'Case of the Bloody Iris' or 'The Red Queen Kills 7 Times'. Many thanks, indeed.
@Jeffrey - Thanks, duder!
ReplyDelete@initforthekills - Moriarty looks like a big baby! Nice.
@Prof - The master? Not so. I am only a humble servant of the giallo beast. Thanks a ton, man!
@Davo - Thanks! The thing about French Sex Murders is that the more times I watch it, the more the things I can't stand about it become endearing. I still can't stand Sacchi though.
And I'm glad you're still digging on the giallo music mixes. I haven't had much luck finding new soundtracks but if I ever get around to making a new mix, I'll post it on the blog.
Where's this music mix you talk about? I want one...
ReplyDelete@Justin - There are three mixes over at the music blog I participate in. Here is the link to the page:

Awesome. Thanks.
ReplyDelete@Justin - I aim to pee.
ReplyDeleteI hope so. At least for your wife's sake.
