Hello! This is the Doomed Show Episode 24

Well, Brad and I pretty much disappeared for the summer due to our crazy opposite schedules. However! We managed to get in an episode for Halloweeners. We read some feedback AND we take suggestions on what to talk about. AND we discussion the Halloween franchise from the beginning to Resurrection. No Rob Zombie? Wut? Hey, Rob Zombie's Halloween films get their own show. No, I'm not joking. Anyway. Check out the new episode here: http://hellodoomedshow.podomatic.com/

And don't forget about the show archive for old episodes.

  2. "Yuck?" My So-Called Life gets a "yuck?" Party of Five, Dawson's Creek,...those were terrible. But My So-Called Life with the lovely Claire Danes? The gay Puerto Rican kid? And the grungy-Blind-Melony new best girlfriend? And one of the weirdest neighbor kids ever? Jared Leto, ok, he's quite repulsive. But I think it was one of the better 90s shows. That being said, I haven't watched it in 15 years or so. I'm sure it still holds up very well...ahem...yeah, I'm sure.

That was a fun run-through of the Halloween franchise! And lots of surprising and entertaining comments from you guys. I did a Halloween marathon a few years back and didn't enjoy III as much as so many these days seem to do, even though I love Tom Atkins. I think the story is quite silly, but I'll happily revisit it again (as soon as a get a region free player and the Scream Factory Blu-rays). I liked IV fair enough and enjoyed parts of V, but hated that new angle with the weird stranger and thought VI was awful. But listening to your show makes me want to check those out again. I'm sure you're right about the positive aspects. To prove how far off I can be at times I must admit I kinda liked Resurrection, but I couldn't even remember all the goofy stuff you mentioned so I might have been half comatose with a Sunday hangover when I watched it. I DO remember that I thought Busta did all right and Tyra...did not.

I'm very glad you're back and I can't wait for the podcast about the (awesome) Rob Zombie remakes (remakes? discuss!) and the next Fulci episode!

    Cheers,
