Last Memorial Day weekend, I staged a nice little moviethon. In 3 days, I watched 21 slasher movies that I had never seen before. The results were... well... I don't know. This is how it went down.
I'm continually impressed at your output, Richard. Franco Friday, the blog, Hello! This is the Doomed Show, Doomed Moviethons - where do you find the time? And all to a very high standard. It puts the rest of us (supposed) Eurocult/horror/exploitation film fans to shame.
Very interesting choices for 'Doomed Moviethon: Slashers in The Night', too - which makes it all the more fun to read.
Surely you have abundant material for a book at this stage? :)
@Davo - Whoa. You flatter me, duder. Thank you so freakin' much. I guess I just never stop. My good friend Brad has been instrumental with the podcast. We have two more episodes in the editing queue and they'll be along eventually. Anyone can do this stuff, seriously. I just love movies so much that I can't help but share that love with anybody who'll listen. One day, I'll get my act together and make something in book form. And thanks again for your words of encouragement.
I wish I had the willpower to do these types of movie marathons. I love Final Exam and Bloody Birthday, and Rocktober Blood is funny as hell. The Prey SUCKS! Too much damn nature footage, haha. I need to watch The Slayer ASAP.
Awesome stuff, man.
ReplyDelete@Justin - Thanks, duder! That was a fun one.
ReplyDeleteSimply beautiful, great choices! Love so many of those films. I know, I'm not right in the head.
